Tavimba House

SAFEGUARDING STATEMENT

Last updated: 30 December 2025

1. Why This Statement Exists

Tavimba House provides respite and short stays in a context where vulnerability is real and where dignity must be protected. Safeguarding is therefore not a policy we display; it is a discipline we practise.

This statement explains our safeguarding posture for website users and sets clear expectations for safe communication.

2. Safeguarding-First Practice

We operate with a safeguarding-first approach. This means:

  • We prioritise safety in all decisions about suitability and admission
  • We maintain professional boundaries and clear escalation pathways
  • We take concerns seriously and act responsibly where risk is identified
  • We protect confidentiality and do not publish identifiable service user information

3. What Not to Share Through the Website

To protect you and the person you are enquiring about, please do not use this website to submit:

  • detailed clinical records
  • full NHS numbers or highly sensitive identifiers
  • information that is not necessary for initial suitability discussion
  • information that could place someone at risk if intercepted

If we need additional information for safe planning, we will request it securely and proportionately.

4. Immediate Risk and Emergencies

This website is not monitored for urgent safeguarding situations.

If there is immediate danger or a medical emergency, call 999.

If you need urgent advice, call 111 or contact your local crisis team.

5. Raising a Concern

If you have a safeguarding concern connected to Tavimba House, you can contact us directly:

Email: tavimbahouse@jessamystaffing.co.uk
Telephone: 01204 777 170

If your concern relates to immediate risk, do not delay—contact emergency services or your local authority safeguarding team.

6. Suitability and Safety Boundaries

We do not accept placements we cannot support safely. Where we believe Tavimba House is not suitable, we will communicate this clearly and respectfully. This is part of safeguarding practice, not refusal.

7. Confidentiality and Respect

We treat all enquiries with respect. We expect the same standard in return. Abusive, threatening, or discriminatory communications may be ended and, where appropriate, reported.

8. Our Wider Ecosystem Context

Tavimba House forms part of the wider Jessamy ecosystem. Where safeguarding requires appropriate information-sharing within the ecosystem or with statutory bodies, we will do so lawfully, proportionately, and with clear reasoning. We do not share information casually or for convenience.
