Who we support

Respite that is safe, planned, and appropriate

We provide respite and short stays for individuals and families who need a stabilising break, a structured short-term stay, or breathing space during transitions. Every enquiry is assessed individually.

Common reasons families and professionals approach us

Planned respite to prevent carer breakdown

Short stays that support recovery of routine and stability

Transitional periods where additional structure is needed

Families needing protected time to rest, regroup, or manage life events

Professional referrals seeking a calm environment for short-term support

Suitability is assessed — it is not assumed

We will ask questions that may feel direct. This is not judgement. It is responsibility. We assess needs, risks, mobility requirements, and practical fit before confirming any stay. Our duty is to the person staying — and to everyone already being supported.

Where we may not be the right setting

If a person’s needs require specialist nursing provision, continuous clinical monitoring, or a risk profile we cannot safely manage within a respite model, we will say so clearly and early. Safety is not negotiable — and false reassurance helps no one.
